We are The Nextdoors. Welcome to our place.
We are excited to announce that our debut album Linda Vista is out now! Stream and purchase our music & t-shirts, and learn more about each song at Bandcamp - Linda Vista.
Our debut collection of songs is named after Russell’s sister Linda, who we lost to cancer in 2020. She was one of our biggest supporters, and in fact she drew the flowers and bugs on our album art and website. A portion of sales will go towards Bat Conservation International, a cause dear to her.
Our record is also available on most popular streaming sites, but the last song is a bonus track only available at Bandcamp. Knowing Linda, this quirky oddball song would likely have been her favorite.
More about us:
We’ve been playing music together since the minute we met. We even played on stage together at our wedding. We had an idea years ago to write songs based on the most eye-rolling, melodramatic posts on Nextdoor.com. Thus, we named our duo The Nextdoors. But when we were isolated from our other bands during COVID we slowly started recording an album of "regular" original songs… and this is that album! However the aforementioned bonus track is our first foray into our original concept ;)

Russell's Radio Interview
March 7, 2022 /
By The Nextdoors
Russell was interviewed on 88.5fm on March 5th at 9pm, and you can listen to the archived interview online here, it starts at about the 2 hour mark.
We celebrated our new album Linda Vista with a show on our YouTube page, recorded live in Andy&Renee’s garage. They performed after, and each joined the other for a song or two.
We decided to submit a performance of our song Awaken to NPR’s Tiny Desk contest. We had a blast filming this. If you’ve never worn a desk on your head, you really should!
